Accessibility and Inclusivity

• Lodges

All of our lodges are accessible via a ramp to the front of the lodge and once inside they are all on one level.

The Poachers Premier lodges have the most floor space and wet room style shower and bathroom areas.  However, they are open plan with one king bed.

Alternatively, we do have the Gardeners Premier lodge which has 2 double en-suite bedrooms, with a one level large shower and a centralised living area.

Space for your car to park is directly outside your lodge.

We have a selection of lodges which are specially reserved for welcoming dogs.

Before booking, please speak to a member of the Griffon Forest team who will be able to advise which lode best suites your needs.

• Reception & Shop

Access to reception is via the stairs or ramp from the car park.

The reception and shop is all on ground floor level.

• Access to Sandburn Hall

Guests from Griffon Forest can access Sandburn Hall via the lit pathway.  It takes approx. 10 minutes to walk, on a stone path which is wheelchair accessible.

If you are coming by car, there are dedicated accessible parking spaces near to each entrance of the Sandburn Hall building (Tykes, golf and hotel).

• Tykes Restaurant at Sandburn Hall

Tykes is a ground floor restaurant with a ramp to the raised section which can be used as required. There is an accessible toilet nearby.

We are able to cater for varying dietary requirements. Please mention any allergies or intolerances to your server.

• Sandburn Hall Golf Club

The Golf Shop and Sports Bar are on the ground floor with no steps throughout.

• Food Allergies & Intolerances

Griffon Forest –

The chocolates and wine included in your lodge have a list of ingredients on the packaging.  However please inform us in advance of arrival if you have any food allergy or intolerance which may be relevant to your stay.  Please get in touch if you have any further questions. Please note that there are peanuts in paper bags in the Reception Shop.

Sandburn Hall –

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please inform a member of staff before arrival if possible, or on arrival.

Please be aware if you have a nut allergy, we operate a working kitchen so although we follow best practices, we cannot guarantee food will be 100% nut free.

• Events at Sandburn Hall

The Grand Hall and Sanderson Room are first floor rooms.  There is passenger lift access to the Grand Hall.  Access to the Sanderson Room is via is staircase or lift access is possible via The Grand Hall via pre-arrangement.

The Settle is a ground floor room with full access.

There are dedicated accessible parking spaces immediately in front of hotel
